Some photos of reptiles you will see
are living fossils . Such as my Homes Hingeback Tortoise Zeus. Many reptiles and amphibians have been around for millions of years . Like the famous salt water crocodile and the American alligator . If we wish these amazing animals to remain with us we must protect them and thier Habitat. As a reptile or amphibian
keeper you can do your part by purchasing only captive bred animals .
You can also be a breeder yourself . This is only a small part of what we as herpers can do . Also you can become a member of Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation ( PARC ) . Lets all do our part to insure that the worlds reptiles and amphibians are safe for future generations.

there is a url for a petition to make your voice heard . The title is Reptile Education First . The URL is listed on the site . You will need to copy and paste it . There are now over 3500 herpers who have signed this petition .

If you are considering getting a reptile or amphibian for your next pet why not adopt one ? There are many shelters nation wide with alot of great animals that need a home . Also if you can , please send a donation to the reptile rescue of your choice . Most are run on the kindness of others and always need help . And not just money is needed . Cages and supplies are greatly needed as well . Also be aware of laws in your aera as well regarding owning a reptile or amphibian . You will save yourself alot of hassle that way .
